YOU asked, we answered!

Dear Future Dental Assistant,

Thank you for requesting more information about our school, and for those students who have already signed up, Congratulations!  We are excited to be working with you toward your new professional dental career!

Our next class will start on Tuesday January 14th, 2014.  There are two weeks left to enroll!

We've had many people ask what makes our school different than the others?  We are happy to answer that question!

First and foremost, you will work closely with Dr. Richard D. Martinez.  In many other programs, you may never see the dentist on site!  Dr. Martinez makes himself available to help our students in any way that he can!

It's important to know that Dr. Martinez loves Dentistry! He enjoys teaching and helping others as well.  Over 20 years of being a Dentist, he has encountered people who want to join him in the dental field. Not only does he maintain a successful private practice, he teaches the dental residents at the University of Utah Dental Clinic and will also be teaching at the new University of Utah School of Dentistry.  He is a great mentor to have!

"Dentistry is such a wonderful profession and I'm glad to pass along knowledge
and the passion of caring for others."

Secondly, to become a Dental Assistant, you have to get the right training.  That's exactly what we can provide you.  Our classes are held in a working dental office, with caring instructors who work in the dental field everyday.  You will be learning from a Dental Assistant and a Registered Dental Hygienist, with 30 years and 23 years of continuous experience in the dental profession.  This ensures that we teach you the most current technology and techniques that many cutting edge dentists are using!  We have also found that some of our students want to pursue a Dental Hygiene career in the future. Our instructors are happy to help you in the application process and with letters of recommendation.

We are thrilled that we are able to send our students to the University of Utah Dental Clinic. Observing in a hospital setting, allows you to see the different working styles of many different dentists all at once.

We also have a network of Dental Specialists who are very willing to let our students observe in their offices. Cross training makes our students more valuable in the Dental Assisting job market!

Our program is a 10 week course and a fraction of the cost from the nine and 12 month programs.
We have many financing plans available.

By now you are aware that an iPad Mini or for a limited time, a Microsoft Surface, comes with your paid tuition.  We've had students who already own a tablet and didn't need another one, or wonder if they HAVE to take the iPad/Surface.  The answer is no, you do not HAVE to take it!  If you choose not to take it, we will reduce your tuition by $300! (For students paying tuition in full before the first day of class)

Our students and graduates can accompany us to the Annual Utah Dental Association Convention.  It's a a great way to get continuing education and network with other Dental Assistants and Dentists!  It's FUN and exciting to learn more about dentistry and to walk around the exhibits to get free dental goodies!  More toothbrushes, toothpaste and floss than you can imagine!

Finally, YES, our graduates are employed as Dental Assistants!  We have dental offices calling us every week asking for our students!  Our graduates have found rewarding, fulfilling and great paying jobs working with many great Dentists in the Salt Lake area!

If YOU have any other questions, let us know! Come take a tour and let us help you achieve your goal to become a Dental Assistant!

Happy New Year from Salt Lake Academy of Dental Assisting!
