Why Are Exit Interviews Important?

Our favorite part about Graduation is celebrating in our students accomplishments and seeing how their confidence and progress have grown over the past 10 weeks!

Our second favorite part is reading their Exit Interviews.  We gain much knowledge from our students and take each and every comment to heart.

I have really enjoyed taking the dental assisting course through Salt Lake Academy of Dental Assisting!  The course went by very fast and I learned so many skills that I was able to apply immediately.  Both Jeri and Terina are very knowledgable about the dental field and are excellent demonstrating all of the skills in the lab.  I believe this course has given me a better understanding of what is expected of a dental assistant.  This has well prepared me for a career as a dentist.  -Kierstin

I really enjoyed the dental assisting course.  As a pre-dental student at the U of U, I was unsure if the dental road was one I wanted to be on.  However, after just a few classes with the lovely instructors, I realized how much I love the dental field!  Both Terina and Jeri are very understanding of each student's needs and they do everything they can to help each student succeed.  They instill in each student a monumental passion for patient care and the practice of dentistry.  -Patrick


Going into this program, I knew a little bit about what dental assisting was about.  After a few classes, I saw just how much there was to learn about this profession.  I mainly took this course as an exploration to see if dentistry was a career path that I wanted to take. I've had thoughts about dentistry for many years, and after this class I can say that my interest has been elevated!  I feel that in these short 10 weeks, I have learned enough to comfortably seek employment as an entry level dental assistant.  Knowing what I know now and the experience I gained from this course, I have the confidence to further my education in dentistry. Welcome to our new students!  It's exciting to have another great group!  Due to overwhelming enrollment in our program, we've added another instructor to our class...Welcome Jordan!

Fall Semester Starts in 2 Weeks! Keep Your Questions Coming!

We have just finished a very busy couple of weeks with our Summer Class.  Our students have been completing extern hours in dental offices throughout Salt Lake City.  They have one week left and then it's Graduation time!   

We are still accepting applications for enrollment into our Fall Class.  We've had many GREAT questions from all of you about enrollment!  Let me try and answer some of the most common questions I've received.  

Q: What are the requirements to attend your program?

          A:   Applicants need to be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma.  If the applicant is under 18, we need parental/guardian consent to attend our program.

Q:  I want to attend!  How do I save a spot in your next class?

          A:   We accept students on a first come first served basis.  To secure your spot in our next class, the application fee ($125) needs to be paid and we need to go over        the Enrollment Agreement with you in person.

Q:   When can I take a tour?

          A:   We can give tours during the day or evening!  Daytime tours are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.  Evening tours are Tuesday or Thursday between 5:30 and 7:00 pm.  If none of these times are convenient for you, we are flexible and can find something that works for you!  To schedule an appointment for a tour, please call or email us!
